Back in Business!

Well, the Assistant and I have been busy and had some machine problems, so we've been neglecting the sewing for a few months. But we just took a nice vacation to visit my grandmother and we had a great time and granny got us back on track!  We made some aprons, dresses and started a quilt on vacation. Now we're back at home, got the kinks worked out on the sewing machine and have been stocking up on fabric and sewing like crazy. Here's a few things we've done:

Mama's Apron

Assistant's "rainbow" quilt.  She chose all her favorite fabrics.  This is just the top, it still needs the back and batting, but we got so excited about some other projects (to be posted ASAP) that we're holding off on that for this week to get some fun Art Arpons sewn together!

More S'mores in a Jar

What fun these things are! I'm posting some additional pictures because they're just too cute and have been so popular as hostess gifts, teacher gifts, secret Santa surprises and adorable treats for a BFF. Many of the people I've talked to aren't planning to even make the treats, but just keep the jar as is for a cute festive decoration. I found many fun holiday Peeps to use, including Reindeer, Snowman, Gingerbread people and Christmas trees. I'll be trying the peppermint stars and some that spell out "JOY" next! Each jar contains crushed graham crackers, holiday M&Ms, holiday Peeps, brown sugar and milk chocolate chips with instructions for baking on the top of the jar.
